IMANI ALUMNI.

A proud product of Imani school, Akuada Okpala graduated in 2002.  She excelled in college at Michigan State University, receiving her Bachelors in Accounting in May 2006.  She then went on to obtain a masters degree, also in accounting.  Akuada started out her career with public accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche LLP as an auditor before leaving to join Sysco Corporation, the largest food distribution company in North America, in their accounting department.

When Akuada is not working, she is an active member of the African Association, helping to educate those in the diaspora about Africa.

She is also pursuing CPA exam, which is the professional exam for accountants and hopes to eventually become the CFO of a large corporation.

Akuada is still living by the motto, “Character and Knowledge”!!
